Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram and Communications Minister Sam Nartey George has clarified his tweet about holiday bundles being provided to Ghanaians by telecommunications companies.
According to him, the bundles are limited to only national holidays and not all holidays in the country.
He made this clarification after he was called out by X users who were expecting to see some bundle today as the country celebrates the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Sam George clarified, saying, “Barka da sallah. I was clear when I announced the holiday packages and the records are there to check from.
The holiday bundles were specific to national day holidays – Independence, Workers, Republic, Founder’s and Farmers Days. Religious holidays like Easter, Christmas, Eid – Fitr and Eid – Adha were not included. Thanks”.
The Minister had earlier in the year brought to the attention of all Ghanaians of the initiative to give some bundle to citizens on holidays.
