Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo has categorically rejected claims made by the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), alleging that she made comments about the 2024 electoral outcome in the Greater Accra Region.
In a press statement released on November 22, 2025, her office described the claims as false, baseless, and completely fabricated, emphasising that she has never made such statements.
The statement further criticised the Regional Chairman for issuing an official release without verifying the information and relying solely on social media posts that were never authenticated.
The statement noted that in recent weeks, several fake posts bearing Naa Torshie’s image and the GHOne logo have circulated online. GHOne reportedly confirmed that these posts were fake and not from the station.
Despite this, the Regional Chairman allegedly acted on the misinformation, leading to the unnecessary circulation of a false allegation.
Hon. Naa Torshie urged the public and party members to disregard the claims, asserting that they do not reflect her views, words, or conduct.
She also reaffirmed her commitment to the unity and progress of the NPP, calling on leaders at all levels to exercise greater care and due diligence before making public statements.
