Hon. Joseph Kwame Kumah- Member of Parliament, Kintampo North

It is with profound grief and a heavy heart that I join the rest of the nation in mourning the tragic loss of eight Ghanaians who perished in the recent helicopter crash—a national calamity that has left us all shaken.
Among the departed were two distinguished public servants and colleagues—Hon. Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation and Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence. Their sudden and untimely deaths are not only a deep personal loss, but a significant blow to the governance and leadership of our beloved country.
Hon. Ibrahim Murtala was more than a colleague; he was a passionate advocate for sustainable development, a voice of reason, and a true servant of the people. His dedication to scientific advancement and environmental stewardship was evident in every aspect of his work.
Hon. Edward Omane Boamah, a man of integrity and discipline, served Ghana with courage and wisdom in safeguarding our national security. His legacy will forever be remembered in our history.

As we mourn, let us honour their memories by continuing the work they so passionately pursued—with unity, purpose, and service to country.
May the souls of our departed compatriots rest in perfect peace.
