The 41st Farmers Day celebration at Kintampo South District was held at Kokuma, a suburb of Jema, the district capital, where our dedicated farmers were recognized for their contributions to the local economy through farming.

Speaking on the theme ‘Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secures the Future,’ the district chief executive, Hon. Zurri Wilfred DCE for Kintampo South, stated that the district can only achieve sustainable food production if residents manage bushfires properly and prevent them in different communities.

Hon. Zurri Wilfred warned residents to halt bushfires or face penalties according to our laws.

Hon.DCE finally, hinted that the farmers’ assembly is putting measures in place to prevent post-harvest loss and even promised to get silos for storage in the district so farmers could store their produce for a long time and get good prices
