King Mswati III, born Prince Makhosetive on April 19th 1968, is currently the the Ngwenyama (King) of Eswatini and head of the Swazi royal family.
Much revered King Mswati III has ruled Eswatini as Africa’s sole surviving absolute monarch since his coronation at the age of 18 in 1986.
He took the throne following a regency crisis after the death of his father Sobhuza II.
Mswati III has final say over parliament, the judiciary, and all appointments in the state, ignoring genuine democratic changes in the wake of public complaints.

King Mswati III has not been focusing or building his monarchy alone, but, he has built a lovely family.
Some of his children are Sikhanyiso Dlamini, Mcwasho Dlamini, Lindani Dlamini, Sicalo Dlamini and many others.
We have been told or per reports online King Mswati III, the Ngwenyama of Eswatini, is reported to have 45 children as of 2025. All these children came from his 16 wives.
However, we must add that exact number can sometimes vary in reports due to the private nature of the royal family and the polygamous traditions.
