I admire Odo Broni – Former Adenta MP says, expresses interest after widowhood rites

Former Member of Parliament for Adenta, Kojo Adu Asare, has publicly expressed interest in pursuing a relationship with Odo Broni, the widow of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, after she completes her traditional widowhood rites.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, the former lawmaker described Odo Broni in glowing terms, saying, “Odo Broni is an exceptionally beautiful woman. I admire her, especially her calm and gentle nature.” He added that his interest goes beyond physical attraction.
According to Kojo Adu Asare, his intentions are rooted in companionship, responsibility, and legacy. “I feel drawn to her and would like to pursue a meaningful relationship with her after she completes her widowhood rites,” he said.
He was clear that his interest is not driven by expectations of starting a new family biologically. “It’s not about marrying her to have children together; rather, I want to help raise her six children and also preserve Daddy Lumba’s legacy,” he stated.
The former MP disclosed that he is currently unmarried and open to marriage, noting that cultural norms surrounding widowhood would be respected.
He explained that any step forward would only be considered after Odo Broni completes the traditional one-year widowhood rites following Daddy Lumba’s passing.
