Adwoa Safo was notified of disciplinary hearing postponement

Haruna Mohammed, the Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that Adwoa Safo, the former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, and her legal team were officially notified of the party’s decision to postpone her appearance before the disciplinary committee.

The NPP had scheduled the hearing to address concerns over comments made by Safo regarding the party’s performance in the 2024 elections.

These remarks, which were deemed a breach of the NPP’s internal communication protocols, had sparked discussions about her conduct within the party.

In a GhOne TV’s post on Twitter, Haruna Mohammed clarified that the NPP ensured that both Safo and her legal representatives were informed of the rescheduling, though the exact reason for the delay was not provided.

The hearing, which was expected to take place on Monday, April 7, 2025, was postponed without further details on the new date or the reasons behind the decision.

Adwoa Safo had previously expressed frustration when she arrived at the NPP headquarters, expecting to face the committee, only to be told that the meeting was not taking place.

Further information regarding the rescheduled hearing is anticipated, but for now, the matter remains unresolved.
