I looked up to Shatta Wale like a Godfather — Big Jiggy opens up about his pain

For Nigerian TikTok influencer Big Jiggy, Shatta Wale was more than just a music icon, he was a mentor and symbol of realness. But after the Shatta Fest, Jiggy says that image has been shattered.
“I used to look up to Shatta Wale like a godfather,” Jiggy said. “Even when he didn’t know me, I just felt his presence through his music. This love was real, man.”
Jiggy explained that his heartbreak began after he landed in Ghana for Shatta Fest under what he believed would be a mutually respectful arrangement.
“I touched down Friday afternoon, and I was supposed to leave Sunday evening. I was booked in Ghana for two days by the Don, by Shatta Wale,” he said in a video sighted by MyNewsGh.
But instead of joy, he says he was met with humiliation.
“Even my hype woman, the person you people brought on stage to humiliate her, I didn’t even want her to go out. I felt disrespected. I’m complete; I’m not jealous. I was just hurt,” he explained.
Despite his emotional tone, Jiggy made it clear he still respects Shatta Wale as an artist.
“Bro, I love you so much. I expected so much from you. You claim to be the king; you portray to be real, but what I saw was not real,” he said.
