I love to share information, I’m not a gatekeeper

Nigerian actress and television personality Yvonne Jegede is set to use her 20-year anniversary in Nollywood to promote creative and financial empowerment.
Jegede outlined her plans to give back to the industry and the wider community through knowledge-sharing and mentorship programs.
“I have a very big heart. I love to share information. I’m not a gatekeeper,” Jegede in an interview On TVC monitored by MyNewsGh.
She revealed the launch of an investment consultancy aimed at helping creatives and others make informed decisions about personal finances.
“Especially for people in the entertainment sector, we want to give guidance and help them make headway,” she explained.
Jegede also plans to premiere a movie addressing social issues such as sickle cell anemia during her anniversary celebrations.
“It’s the best time for me to bring the movie out because of the story it tells and the societal issues it covers,” she said.
Reflecting on her two decades in the industry, Jegede emphasized the importance of evolution and adaptation.
“There’s so much I’ve been thinking about in my quiet moments, how to improve myself and impact others positively. I’m using this milestone to share as much as I can and not hide behind the spotlight anymore,” she added.
The initiative aims to bridge gaps in knowledge and resources for creatives, combining mentorship, investment guidance, and social advocacy.
