I married three women in three days because I didn’t want to break their hearts – Mbir explains

Nicholas Mbir, the man from Winneba who shocked many Ghanaians by marrying three women in just three days, says his decision was driven by empathy and a desire to protect the hearts of the women in his life.

Speaking in an interview with a Ghanaian blogger, Nicholas said, “I’ve seen how men treat women — they’ll date them, use them, then move on and leave them broken. I didn’t want to be that kind of man.”

The choir master tied the knot with Grace Agyarko on Wednesday, Angelina Prah on Thursday, and Esther Abass on Friday — all in April this year. The grand finale was a joint celebration with all three brides on Saturday.

Recounting how he met each woman, Nicholas said, “One of them I met through a dance troupe, the other in a church choir, and the third during a live band performance. They came into my life at different times, and I built real connections with each of them.”

He insists there’s no “senior wife” in his home. “I treat all of them equally. I don’t believe in favoritism among wives.”

When asked if he’d consider adding more wives in the future, he smiled and replied, “Only if my finances improve. For now, I want to take good care of the ones I have.”
