I remain focused, not on retaliation, but on restoration – Bryan Acheampong

Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Abetifi and a presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party members to prioritize unity and discipline amid the ongoing internal contest.
In a statement dated Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Acheampong acknowledged the challenges that arise during internal party elections, including misinformation and personal attacks. He emphasized the need to respond with focus, not retaliation.
“Yes, I have come under a barrage of attacks. Falsehoods have been spread about me.
“Fake materials have been shared to question my character. But through it all, I remain focused, not on retaliation, but on restoration,” Acheampong said.
Describing the contest as one of ideas, leadership, and vision, Acheampong urged supporters to refrain from personal attacks and the circulation of false materials.
He emphasized that the party must rise above such tactics.
“We are building something far greater than a campaign. We are building a movement to unite and rebuild our beloved New Patriotic Party,” he noted.
Acheampong called on party members to act responsibly, allowing their words and actions to inspire rather than inflame, emphasizing that conduct today will shape the party’s future leadership.
“Together, we unite. Together, we rebuild,” he concluded.
