I saw it coming – How Ghanaian man predicted after helicopter crash

A Facebook post made by a Ghanaian man named Abeku Adams Ekumfi has resurfaced following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of key government officials and military personnel on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
In the original post dated July 28, Mr. Ekumfi wrote: “On 6th August something will happen. Another thing will happen on the 9th.” Though vague, the timing of his statement has led many online to believe he may have predicted the national tragedy.
After the crash was confirmed by the Chief of Staff, Ekumfi reshared the post, adding a reflection on his life’s journey and his frustration with Ghana’s recruitment system:
“The corrupt system kept us out of our purpose for which we were sent here, so our country suffers like a blind man in a dance theatre.
“I was sent here to be a Military General and Intelligence Chief, but when I wanted to join the Military and the Intelligence Service, they told me I needed protocol… I said, ‘Over my dead body.’”
While authorities are yet to determine the cause of the crash, Mr. Ekumfi’s remarks have sparked debate on social media, with some calling for further investigation and others dismissing it as mere coincidence.
