I signed two MoUs to build universities in Jasikan and Kintampo – Haruna Iddrisu reveals

The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced the signing of two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with international engineering firms to support government’s plan to establish two new public universities in Jasikan and Kintampo.
Haruna revealed that the agreements were signed with Gharably Integrated Engineering Company (GEICO) from Egypt and CMS Group from Morocco.
Both companies expressed readiness to partner with the Ministry of Education to bring the initiative to fruition.
“In line with Government’s intention of establishing two public universities in Jasikan and Kintampo, I signed two separate MOUs with the Gharably Integrated Engineering Company (GEICO) and the CMS Group from Egypt and Morocco respectively,” he disclosed.
According to the Minister, the development of these institutions represents a significant step toward inclusive national development and will directly address regional skill shortages.
“The universities will be a transformative step towards inclusive national development, as well as address the skills shortages in the respective regions,” Haruna stated in a post shared on Facebook.
