I used to be a chronic womanizer – Rev. Osei Kofi opens up about his past

Rev. Osei Kofi, a legendary football player from Ghana, has shared details of his lifestyle as a player before he converted to Christianity and became a pastor.
He claims that when they played football, there was no such thing as professionalism—rather, they were treated as amateurs, free to do as they liked.
The AFCON champion from 1963 and 1965 said that he appreciated getting attention from women due to his football skills at the time.
Women would come see Rev. Osei at home even if he didn’t go out to meet them, he said in an interview with Muftawu Nabila on JoyNews.

But he has renounced such a lifestyle following his encounter with Christ and is now concentrating on his pastoral work.
“The Bible says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. I am a Christian, and through football, I became a pastor. So, it is the fear of God that is in me, because there were many things I was doing while playing football, but I have stopped. It’s not just Christianity, but it’s the reason I am still strong at age 84.
“In those days, we were not professionals but amateurs, so, as for women, I had many at that time. It was my talent that got me the women. If I didn’t go out, they would come. I am telling you the truth,” he said.
