I Will Honour the Invitation

Julius Neequaye Kotey, Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), says he will honour an invitation from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) over his recent disclosure of a GH¢4 million bribery attempt.
“I received a letter from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on 29th October 2025, at 11am.
“I will be available at the OSP’s office on Friday, 31st October 2025 at 11am,” Mr. Kotey confirmed in a post sighted by MyNewsGh, acknowledging the summons in a statement shared on Tuesday.
The OSP’s engagement with Mr. Kotey follows his revelation that unidentified individuals attempted to bribe him with GH¢4 million to halt the implementation of the new Digitalised Vehicle Registration Plate (DP) policy.
The initiative, spearheaded by the DVLA, aims to reduce vehicle-related fraud and improve road safety through enhanced traceability and security.
The OSP noted that its investigators will seek further details from the DVLA boss to uncover the identities and motives of those behind the alleged bribery scheme.
