I will match him boot for boot—Kennedy Agyapong on Abronye DC feud

Presidential aspirant and outspoken politician Kennedy Agyapong has reacted sharply to comments made by Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, during a recent clash that has intensified the growing rift within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Agyapong expressed disappointment in the way Abronye, a close ally he claims to have supported in the past, publicly disrespected him at an event in Berekum during an interview on Metro TV monitored by MyNewsGh.
“That is why I said, look, the way things are going, what happened at Brikumu, the way Avronia insulted me… he is a good friend that I have helped,” Agyapong said. “But because of politics, he gets opportunity to talk to me anyhow.”
According to Agyapong, calls for him to remain silent will not be heeded. “Everybody says, don’t say anything. That I would not accept. If Kennedy Agyapong is quiet, it doesn’t mean I would let anybody take me for granted. That is not Kennedy Agyapong.”
He made it clear that silence in the face of disrespect would be disingenuous. “It means I’ll be faking. The truth is truth, and I’m always defending. I could not allow this guy to diss me the way he dissed me in front of people, and I could not say anything.”
Using a metaphor to emphasize his point, Agyapong referenced boxer Mike Tyson. “Let me give you a reference. If you know Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson and his wife granted an interview, and in the course of the interview, the wife insulted him. He didn’t even understand it until they got home. That caused the divorce.”
Making his final point, Agyapong added: “I’m not illiterate, but I don’t even understand the insinuations Abronye was casting for me to be quiet.”
