I won’t leave my husband even If I catch him with another woman

Former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison, has openly declared her unwavering commitment to her husband, stating that she would not leave him even if she caught him with another woman.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News, the former Agona West Member of Parliament emphasized the strength of her marital bond, saying she would rather work on her existing marriage than risk venturing into a new and uncertain relationship.

“Even if you come and tell me you saw my husband with another lady, I will not leave him. Even if I go and see him with a lady, I will just pick him up and we will come home,” she said.

Mrs. Morrison explained that her decision stems from her belief that relationships, like any valuable thing, require maintenance and effort. “I am telling you on national television because from there, I don’t know the next man I’m going to meet. He could be worse than my husband. So whatever you have, you polish it,” she said.

Her comments came while recounting political challenges she faced during her tenure, including an episode where her former aide, Chris Arthur, allegedly convinced constituents that her husband had backed his decision to run against her in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.

Cynthia Morrison, who eventually contested the 2024 parliamentary elections as an independent candidate after losing the NPP primary, was unsuccessful in her bid to retain the Agona West seat.
