I work every day, no clubbing, no breaks

Broda Shaggi has opened up about the level of discipline that drives his craft, describing himself as someone who works constantly, with no time for distractions.
“I don’t club. If I’m not on set, I’m at home working, writing, creating.”
His consistency, he said, didn’t begin with fame. “In Unilag I never got tired. I would paint from night till morning, carry canvas to FC if there’s no light, and still go for shows and choreograph,” he recalled during an interview with Chude Jideonwo monitored by MyNewsGh.
According to Shaggi, the fear of stagnation often guides his creative decisions, especially when he senses declining momentum. “Sometimes I feel like I’m not buzzing. I ask my manager, ‘Am I doing good?’ He’ll say yes, but maybe I’ve slowed down,” he said.
This prompted him to switch formats at critical moments, including pausing the famous interview skits.
“At a point I felt the interview skit was getting too boring. I had to build something else. If I continued then, people for don tire,” he said.
Despite warnings that too much content would exhaust his audience, Shaggi insists his productivity is intentional. “People said if you do too much you will she. But if what you’re doing is good, you won’t. I write every day. I don’t feel tired,” he declared.
He continues to create new characters and scripts even on flights. “While coming back from London, I wrote two scripts. I know myself,” he added.
To him, longevity comes from constant reinvention. “It’s not the end. I believe I will get to my destination by myself,” he concluded.
