If it’s not funny, I don’t post it

Broda Shaggi has opened up about the pressure content creators face in the age of instant feedback. In the conversation with Chude Jideonwo monitored by MyNewsGh, he said he once feared releasing videos that might underperform.

“I used to get scared of dropping content,” he revealed. “I’d ask myself, ‘Would they love this the way they loved the last one?’”

He said the constant comparison and scrutiny forced him to reset his mindset. “At a point I was just like, you know what, you started yourself. This is your brand. Who are you impressing?”

Shaggi explained that his focus now is strictly on quality. “If it’s not funny, I don’t put it out,” he stated. He added that some projects get scrapped entirely. “After editing, if I don’t find what I want, I call the actor and say, ‘I’m sorry, this won’t fly.’”

He also highlighted how a single bad video can hurt a creator’s reputation. “One video can just ruin all your hard work,” he warned.

Addressing online negativity, Shaggi said he removes anyone who attempts to frustrate his peace. “If I see any comment that is going to trigger me, the first thing I do is block. I hate bad energy.”

According to him, creators must protect their mental space. “You can never be loved by everyone,” he added. “Know your energy and know where your strength is.”
