If NDC had any shame left, they would not have contested the Akwatia seat

Minority leader Alexander Afenyo Markin is of the view that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has no shame.

He says if the political party had any shame left, they would have also pulled out of the Akwatia Election when the NPP decided not to contest the Tamale Central seat.

Afenyo Markin, who was speaking at the one-week observation of the late Ernest Kumi, said it is sad that even in Ernest Kumi’s death, the NDC continues to haunt him after making life unbearable for him while he was alive.

“The NDC has no shame; if they did, they wouldn’t have contested for the Akwatia seat when the NPP decided not to contest the Tamale Central seat. They would have said that because of peace and the betterment of the country, they would also not contest for Ernest Kumi’s seat. Funny enough, the lawyer who said he will ensure Ernest Kumi loses his seat is the same candidate they are presenting for this election,” he said.

He urged constituents and members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to go out, campaign and vote massively to ensure that the NPP retains the seat in memory of Ernest Kumi.

“Monday night, we will not sleep. We will campaign throughout the night. Don’t let the NDC scare you. They cannot scare us because if they could, Kufour wouldn’t have won any election. What has happened in Parliament is very worrying.
