If NPP returns, Raymond Archer’s bail will be ‘Jesus’ – NPP journalists fume

Ghanaian journalists affiliated with Movement TV and Wontumi Radio have issued a stern warning to journalist Raymond Archer, cautioning him over what they describe as politically-motivated actions being carried out by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) under the current administration.

Mr. Gordon Asare-Bediako, speaking during a media discussion, drew a sharp contrast between the professionalism of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and what he says is the vindictive conduct of EOCO under its acting Executive Director.

“Officers at the CID office are professional through their engagements, but as soon as you are told to go to EOCO, then they mess you up,” he said.

The journalist warned that Archer’s actions today may have consequences in the future. “If Raymond Archer reasons deeply, he should know whatever he is doing today, somebody would come later and pay him back,” he cautioned.

In a rather dramatic twist, Asare-Bediako advised Archer to prepare himself spiritually. “He should make sure he has a very good relationship with God because if NPP returns to power, one of his bail conditions would be Jesus Christ,” he said.

He went further to advise Archer to take proactive steps should there be a change in political power. “On the day he hears there is a change of government, he should voluntarily sleep in the EOCO cells and lock it,” he stated.
