If she has nothing to hide, why block a DNA test? – Gabs on Queen Alisa Aboagye paternity dispute

Ghanaians are still discussing the DNA saga involving the late Samuel Aboagye and his daughter Queen Alisa Aboagye.
The issue has gained renewed attention after journalist and blogger Stephen Adjetey Abban, known as Gabs, shared a detailed account of the controversy on social media.
“Some of us don’t let popular opinion or emotions dictate our judgment. We rely on empirical evidence,” Gabs wrote. He noted that after the August 6 tragedy that claimed the life of Samuel Aboagye, the family faced difficulties in confirming the paternity of Queen Alisa for official processes.
According to the report shared by Gabs, Mrs. Aboagye allegedly declined to make the child available for DNA testing, which the family argues is necessary not only for establishing paternity but also for determining rightful beneficiaries of Samuel Aboagye’s estate.
“When this request was declined, they were forced to obtain DNA samples from another child the late Samuel Aboagye had with a different woman, just to proceed with certain official processes,” Gabs added.
Adding further context, Nana Kwabena Gyamra Yiakwan, Adansikwapiahene and spokesperson for the Bretua family, told Adom News that the late Samuel Aboagye had expressed doubts about Queen Alisa’s parentage years before his death.
“The late Samuel Aboagye expressed concerns about the child’s parentage long before his death. Since then, the wife has repeatedly declined DNA testing.
“We simply want the truth, and a DNA test is the only way to confirm it,” Nana Kwabena Gyamra Yiakwan said.
Gabs also questioned the public’s defense of Mrs. Aboagye, suggesting that attempts to block DNA testing raise more questions than answers.
“So why are people defending her and trying to stop some of us from asking legitimate questions and holding her accountable for her actions? If she has nothing to hide, why run to court to block a DNA test?”
