IGP is a liar – NPP Vice Chairman Masawudu Osman declares

NPP’s third Vice Chairman, Alhaji Masawudu Osman, has slammed the Inspector General of Police (IGP), branding him a liar over claims that NDC’s Chief Azorka had been arrested.
“The IGP is a liar. Contrary to the widely circulated reports that Azorka has been arrested, he is walking a free man. Yet they swiftly go for political opponents who commit the same or even lesser offences,” Osman declared.
He said the selective application of justice is the reason the NPP has taken to the streets. “The bias in the administration of justice is the reason why the NPP has embarked on this protest. Our members are being arrested over frivolous claims,” he argued.
Osman expressed outrage over the arrest of Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye. “Why should Abronye be arrested over a mere insult to the IGP?
He was arrested like a criminal by the special police unit called Black Maria, whose main job is to arrest hardened criminals. I am not happy with the way the NDC is handling the issue,” he lamented.
He also drew parallels with Azorka’s actions, accusing the NDC figure of escaping accountability.
“Azorka threatened NPP officials, and yet he has not been arrested. There is no way he can challenge me to a duel, yet he confronted me unprovoked while I was granting an interview.
Even though I have the upper hand in terms of strength, I still exercised restraint,” he recounted.
