Political show host Samson Samson Anyenini has served notice that he will not speak on his comments on Kennedy Agyapong on Samson’s take on Joy News.
On Saturday, May 17, 2025, in an editorial, Samson Anyenini explained the decision of the Essex court to reduce the cost awarded against Kennedy Agyapong in the defamation suit brought against him by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
However, the editorial did not sit well with some pro Kennedy Agyapong elements who are of the view that Samson denigrated Kennedy Agyapong in the editorial and have since attacked the political show host on several platforms available to them.
But in a social media post, Samson Anyenini explained that he had received several calls to speak about the matter, but he would not join the shouting matches as some pro Kennedy Agyapong are engaged in.
His post shared via social media said “Pray – I have not formally been served, but I will not pretend I have not seen the statement in circulation. One of his ‘spokespersons’, known for like abuse and vitriol, shared a screenshot by WhatsApp together with a publication of same.
He called me Saturday night to threaten that I have to “be careful.” He continued the threats Sunday morning, including saying “congratulations” to me. I have lodged a report.
I wish that ‘they’ or shall I say ‘he’ (the sole signatory) – the faceless “concerned …” whoever will rather quickly activate the fora named in the release so I offer proof for all the ‘concerns’ already publicly available.
For the avoidance of doubt, I deal with facts, law, and conviction, which I will never abandon for the cheap twists and slants put on my said comments, feigning a lack of understanding of same. You are no advocates for the judiciary; I have been, unofficially and officially, since law school.
Like I told the caller, I do not recall you ever being this concerned when Ken, without any provocation, insulted and abused me including comments that I was not even fit to be hired by him to polish his shoes, or when he did to any of the many citizens.
By this, I serve notice to all media persons calling me for interviews that I will not be part of pointless shouting matches”.
