I’m a happy woman – Nana Ama McBrown opens up on life after divorce

Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has spoken openly about the end of her marriage, framing the experience as one of growth, healing, and personal strength rather than loss.

In an interview on TV3, McBrown said she has come out of the experience emotionally stronger and at peace with herself.

“I’m happy because I’ve been able to overcome them. I’m over it. I’m a happy woman. I believe I’m the strongest,” she said.

She encouraged others not to see divorce as a personal failure, linking her outlook to broader life challenges she has faced.

“I want to tell everybody that divorce should never be the end. If you overcome health issues, that means God has saved you,” she said, adding that wellbeing outweighs material success.

“Sometimes, not even money can save you when it comes to health.”

McBrown described the process as difficult but transformative. “I’ve gone through a divorce, and it has been a rollercoaster for me,” she said, before affirming her confidence in how it was handled.

“Yes, I’m divorced, and I’m not ashamed to say it, but I did it so beautifully.”

She concluded by reaffirming her sense of contentment. “I’m happy where I am,” she said.
