I’m happy with what I got — Bryan Acheampong Reacts to his ’10 sins’

Presidential hopeful Bryan Acheampong has addressed leaflets circulating about his alleged ‘ ’10 sins’, insisting that most of the accusations are unfamiliar to him and should be viewed as political propaganda.

“I have seen my 10 sins, a majority of which I have not committed. About eight of them, I don’t know anything about. I read them for the first time,” Acheampong stated in a video available to MyNewsGh, emphasizing his surprise at the contents of the leaflets.

He added that while he is willing to acknowledge any genuine mistakes, “If you want to talk about my 10 sins, you have to say things that I have done. Now, when I lie down on my bed and go through them, I’ll proclaim I have indeed gone overboard. But you cannot write things that I don’t know anything about.”

Acheampong went on to downplay the seriousness of the few claims that relate to him directly, describing them as minor.

“The two that I saw on there are also not fatal. If these are my sins, I can assure you I’ll go to heaven. They are not bad at all.”

He further highlighted the political nature of the leaflets. “But these are political propaganda leaflets, and we should consider them as such. I mean, you see these things, you laugh, and then you press on with your life. You don’t have to pay any serious attention.”

Comparing his “sins” to those attributed to other public figures, Acheampong pointed out the inconsistencies and exaggerations in such campaigns.

“I’ve seen other people’s sins, and then you can only look at it once. One hit Kennedy with 10, and they hit Dr Mahamudu Bawumia with 16. And yesterday, I heard Adutwum has gone to say that everyone should say his sins—they are going to give him 20.”

Despite the attention, Acheampong expressed a sense of contentment with the situation. “So, I’m happy with what I got. Yes, we move on.”
