Notable Nigerian singer and entrepreneur, Mr. Eazi, has set social media abuzz after boldly declaring his readiness to run for president, not just in Nigeria, but in any African country that needs a forward-thinking leader.
In a video shared on his social media platforms, the Afrobeat singer who recently git married to Temi Otedola announced his unexpected political ambition, describing himself as the kind of leader Africa’s youth are yearning for.
“I said it’s time to share it with you guys. Now, some of you might be from some countries, specifically in Africa, and you’re looking for a president.
“You’re looking for a young president, a president that’s not looking for money, that’s not looking for power, that’s forward-thinking, young, active, and that can move your country better,” he said with conviction.
Mr. Eazi then made a striking declaration; “So I’m just officially putting myself forward for presidency of whatever country, so if you know that your country needs me as their president, put the flag.”
Mr. Eazi, born Oluwatosin Ajibade, is widely respected for his influence in shaping Africa’s contemporary music sound and his investments through emPawa Africa, a platform dedicated to discovering and supporting emerging talents across the continent.
