I’m ready to take over the world

Ghanaian Afropop star Wendy Shay says she feels “emotionally, mentally, and spiritually ready” to take over the world with her new album Ready, which she describes as a reflection of strength, self-discovery, and transformation.
The “Survivor” hitmaker shared that the project marks her seventh year in the music industry and represents a new level of maturity.
“I named it Ready because I’ve done the inner work. My soul mission is clear now. I know the direction I want to move in,” she said Speaking in an interview on GHOne TV monitred by MyNewsGh.
“I’m ready emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to showcase my talent to the world.”
According to Wendy Shay, the album, which was released on October 24, 2025, is already performing well across streaming platforms.
“It’s booming everywhere. The numbers are insane. It’s number one on Afro Sounds on Audiomack and trending on Apple Music,” she said with excitement.
The singer also discussed the challenges of producing a full-length album, revealing that it took nearly a year to complete.
“A lot goes into production, finances, sleepless nights, brainstorming with creatives. It’s a good kind of stress,” she noted.
Despite the high cost of production, Wendy said she is able to sustain her music career through shows, ambassadorial deals, and brand partnerships.
“I’m privileged to play shows every weekend. I also get revenue from streaming platforms and ambassadorial deals with HiSense, PEA Beverages, and others,” she said. “But I still need investors. It’s a very capital-intensive job.”
The artist’s annual Shay Concert is set for November 22 at the West Hills Mall, and she promises fans “nothing but the best.”
“Just come and see. All your favorite artists will be there. It’s free, my way of giving back to society,” she added.
