Lawyer Yaw Adomako Baafi, has raised concerns over the recent arrest of social media influencer Sir Obama and two other TikTok personalities, as well as the suspension of operations at Wontumi Radio, calling them deliberate distractions from more pressing national issues.
The Former NPP Communications Director, speaking with Oheneba Asiedu on Wontumi TV, said, “The long and short of the whole matter is that after sacrificing innocent blood, Dr. Omane Boamah and his people are now using these distractions to divert attention from what really matters.”
He further questioned the selective nature of government action, pointing out that prominent figures remain unaffected.
“Even Captain Smart is still around. Look at the chaos that followed his comments in Obuasi.
“Sammy Gyamfi and Okudzeto Ablakwa are also still walking freely despite the controversial things they’ve said. But now, innocent people are being arrested?”
Adomako Baafi alleged that these moves are orchestrated by the ruling government under the influence of President John Mahama to shift public focus away from critical national concerns.
