Insecurity in Ghana: Every Ghanaian is at risk while those in power fail to act

Former Managing Director of State Housing Company, Kwabena Ampofo Appiah known popularly as (Vyrus) has expressed concerns over insecurity in the country.

He is of the view that currently, every Ghanaian is at risk of losing their lives, considering the daily deaths as a result of gunfights in the country.

Kwabena Ampofo Appiah is shocked that, regardless of the state of insecurity in the country, the government and those in power sit aloof while the country continue to record several deaths.

In a tweet, he condemned the government’s failure to act, indicating that stray bullets do not know which political party one belongs to and used the opportunity to urge Ghanaians to call on the government to act.

His tweet read “Sowutuom clash leaves people dead. Yet, the government sits idle. Security in Ghana is collapsing. Guns are rattling in our streets, and stray bullets don’t check your party. Every Ghanaian is at risk while those in power fail to act. #BrokenSecurity #nationalemergency“.
