Instead of complaining, let’s know what you’ve done to right the wrongs in Ghana’s contract with Zipline

Franklin Cudjoe is of the opinion that the current government should not complain about the country’s debt to Zipline.

He explains that they have power now, and therefore it’s imperative that they focus on delivering on their mandate to the people by righting the wrongs of the past.

In a post shared via social media, he said, “Why is the NDC complaining about a huge but disputable GHS 241m debt they believe is owed to Zipline?

Instead of chastising Bawumia for the obvious sloppy contractural terms the last govt negotiated, the real question to ask the NDC, is, what have they done about the deal to right the wrong”.

Over the week, American Senator Jim Risch condemned the Foreign Affairs Minister of Ghana over debts Ghana owes American companies, of which Zipline is included.

The Minister, in his response, indicated that he cannot dictate to a soverign country.

“You will not be allowed to dictate to a sovereign country on how we conduct our foreign policy — if you need to be reminded — this is Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana — the first African nation to defeat colonialism and imperialism.”
