Investigation should have focused on Ralph’s unruly behavior—Oda MP

Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda in the Eastern Region, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has urged the government to focus on dealing with the unruly behaviour of Ralph rather than the nurse who was allegedly assaulted.

According to him, the focus on the nurse will not help the government.

He believes that the government mustn’t dwell on the nurse who was allegedly assaulted but rather deal with Ralph, who did not respect protocols at the health facility.

Alexander Akwasi Acquah spoke to MyNewsGh.com in an interview at Wenchi on the sidelines of the one-week observation of the late Ernest Kumi.

“I think that the Ridge Hospital issue is far from just retooling. I think that it is the attitude of this so-called Ralph, the social media guy, who did not pay regard to courtesies at the hospital. Whatever happened there, I have condemned it, and well-meaning Ghanaians have also condemned it.

I hear there is a report that has come out, but I’m surprised that the report is dwelling on the fact that the nurse who reported a fracture and a dislocation of her arm; the report is rather dwelling on the fact that there was no dislocation.

I mean, I am surprised that the government will want to be flying this story rather than look at the real intent of the Ralph guy. I am told that certain people were supposed to be invited by the committee but they were not invited. I will want to commend the minister for setting up this committee,” he said, indicating that they should go beyond saving face.
