It’s about time Kotoko invested in proper scouting—Issah Ahmed

Former Defender for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Issah Ahmed has condemned the club over the decision to terminate the contracts of some players who have not yet been involved in any competitive game.

According to him, the decision to part ways with players who were signed recently will lead to financial loss to the club, which is already struggling.

To him, it is about time the club invests in scouts who will bring in the best talents and not just players who will be sacked even before the league commences.

“Indiscriminate termination of contracts at Kotoko, especially regarding players who have yet to participate in competitive matches, is worrying and likely to result in financial loss for the club,” he said.

“Hiring scouts with enormous expertise should be a matter of concern to a big club like Kotoko, as lobbying for players has never contributed to the club’s progress,” he further stated.
