Jakpa was released, not dismissed from GAF- NDC Communicator

NDC Communications Team member Theophilus Dzimega Jnr. Esq. has challenged the perception surrounding the legal proceedings involving Jakpa, emphasizing that the military officer was released rather than dismissed.

Speaking on GHOne TV and monitored by MyNewsGH, he criticized the way such cases have been handled in the past, arguing that court rulings should not be used as political tools.

“The high court said A, and the court of appeal said no, no, no, it shouldn’t be A. In certain jurisdictions, the judges will say you are walking away a clean man. They walk away from the court clean,” he remarked.

Dzimega likened the situation to that of a former finance minister, arguing that a court ruling should not automatically disqualify someone from holding a position.

“It’s like telling us that today, because the high court said ABC, he is no more qualified to become a minister of finance. He can be. They walk away from the court cleanly,” he stated.

Reiterating his point about Jakpa’s status, he clarified that the officer was not dismissed but released. “In the Army, Jakpa was released. That is it. He wasn’t dismissed,” Dzimega emphasized.
