Japan fulfils promise to support Ghana’s development

Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced the signing of two major grant facilities with Japan to boost infrastructure and healthcare delivery in the country.
In a statement shared on his social media page, Ablakwa disclosed; “The Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Hiroshi Yoshimoto and I yesterday signed two grant facilities for the Kumasi Inner City Ring Road Improvement Project and the Northern Region Improvement of Health Care System Project.”
The two projects, he noted, are valued at approximately 3.5 billion Japanese Yen.
According to Ablakwa, the agreements are a direct result of commitments made to President John Dramani Mahama during his recent working visit to Japan.
“It’s great to see promises made to President Mahama during his recent working visit to Japan materialize,” he remarked.
The Foreign Minister further expressed optimism about the future of Ghana-Japan cooperation, adding; “May Ghana 🇬🇭 Japan 🇯🇵 relations continue to flourish.
