Minister of Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has supported sports development in his constituency with a GHC 50,000 donation to Yapei United Football Club.
Announcing the gesture in a Facebook post, the Yapei Kusawgu MP said the donation was part of his broader commitment to youth empowerment and community progress.
“I have donated GHC 50,000 to Yapei United Football Club to boost the team’s activities and promote sports development in my beloved Yapei Kusawgu Constituency,” Jinapor shared.
He emphasized that the initiative reflects his belief in the unifying and transformative power of sports.
“This support reflects my commitment to empowering the youth and using sports as a platform for growth, unity and development,” he noted.
Jinapor expressed optimism about the club’s potential, encouraging the players and management to maintain focus and discipline.
“Sports have the power to unite our people and inspire our young ones to aim higher. I believe Yapei United can go far with the right support and discipline,” he added.
Officials of Yapei United and members of the community expressed heartfelt gratitude to the minister for his continuous support and dedication to youth and community development.
According to Jinapor, the donation adds to a series of interventions he has initiated to improve education, sports, and livelihoods across the Yapei Kusawgu Constituency.
