Journalist arrested and detained for publishing excerpts of Anas’ “Number 12” documentary

Reports indicate that a Ghanaian Journalist, Samuel Amedator has been detained at the Ministries Police Station for republishing excerpts of Anas’ Number 12 documentary.
The reports say he was picked up in a Rambo style from his home as early as 3am last week Friday and was asked to pull the video after several hours of interrogation.
Dclass as he is popularly called is said to have been released at 11pm on the said day after pulling down the video and was asked to report to the Signals Bureau on Tuesday November 18, 2025.
Upon reporting, Sammy was rearrested and has since been held at the Ministries Police station.
In a Facebook post, Halifax Ansah Addo who edits The Publisher Newspaper questioned the reasoning behind the arrest and detention of the young man for no crime committed.
He asked if the government’s reset agenda includes arresting people for posting excerpts of a documentary.
His several posts on the matter read “Anas did the Number 12 documentary in 2018. A journalist publishes an exercpt of it in 2025. He gets arrested at gunpoint, handcuffed & has slept in cells for 2 nights. Clearly the ‘reset’ does not include press freedoms”.
Adding “Sammy Amedetor, editor of Dklassgh.com. He was picked at 3am from his bed, handcuffed and sent to Signals Bureau last Friday.
Questions centered mainly on who gave him the video he published and later pulled it down.
He was released around 11pm same Friday and asked to report back to Signals Bureau on Tuesday. He did.
Since Tuesday, he is still LOCKED at the Ministry of Police station as I type.
Since when did not disclosing a source became a crime?”.
