Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has indicated that the President has asked for a forensic audit of the books of the National Cathedral Secretariat by the Auditor General.
According to him, the audit done by Deloitte did not cover the full operations of the National Cathedral project.
He says that only after the audit by the Auditor General will the government decide on the next action to be taken on the National Cathedral.
The minister made this known on Friday, July 18, 2025, while providing details of the Deloitte audit of the project’s books.
“After the forensic audit, decisive action will be taken regarding any impropriety determined and the future of the project itself,” he said.
