Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame APlus, has disclosed that he has worked more than all his predecessors did in the last ten months he has been in office.
According to him, the previous Members of Parliament did not pull their weight in ensuring the developmental needs of the people were met.
Although he is not putting out what he is doing in his constituency like others are doing, his performance will reflect in the votes he will garner during the next elections.
“As MP, what I have done in the last ten months, there is no human being who has occupied the position of MP who has achieved what I have achieved in the last ten months. It has never happened in my constituency before that over 200 women are provided with startup capital to ensure that they get to work.
You cannot do it. Where can you go and take the money from? Their salary is Ghc 35,000, and when their loans are taken, they are left with peanuts, so they did not have the money to do that,” he said.
The Member of Parliament also disclosed that his perception about issues has changed, and believes it is about time Ghana invests in developing the country.
