Justin Kodua’s competence comes under scrutiny over recent happenings in NPP

The competence of the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has come under scrutiny over recent happenings in the political party.
Atik Mohammed, who has been the general secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC) in the past, believes he is not fit to occupy such an august position in a big political party as the NPP.
To him, Justin Kodua, after being elected to the position, has not proven to be a leader worth his salt, as his impact is nothing to write home about.
Atik Mohammed bases his argument on the fact that Justin Kodua, among other NPP leaders who were supposed to have spearheaded their 2024 campaign, were conspicuously missing.
What’s even worrying to him is that the General Secretary for the NPP has not been seen engaging in any meaningful policy or other debate with his counterpart or people of similar standing from other major political parties.
To him, if the NPP wants and seeks progress of their political party, such characters must be removed for fresh faces who are competent to take over the administration of the political party.
Making this position known in a post shared via social media, Atik Mohammed said “National Executives of the NPP, through their GS claim the party is struggling to pay its staff of less than 50 workers four months into opposition. And would have to resort to soliciting from likely Flagbearer contenders to ostensibly keep the administration of the party afloat.
Adding that “Something is definitely amiss, especially when these individuals as a group, were conspicuously missing in the efforts of their party’s Flagbearer in the last election. Many of them who ordinarily should be the face of their party, lack charisma, drive and sincerity. The Chief Scribe for instance, is yet to be seen in any meaningful policy or other debate with his counterpart or people of similar standing from other major political parties. Repeating these folks in the NPP’s next internal contest is a sure way to reliving the tragedy of 2024. We listen, we watch and we judge”.
