Ken Ofori-Atta marked red by Interpol

Former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta has been marked Red by Interpol.
This comes after Ghana’s Special Prosecutor declared him a fugitive from justice.
Ken Ofori-Atta failed to appear before the Special Prosecutor after a June 2 deadline was defied.
Ken Ofori-Atta is said to have defied the deadline because of his ill health; something the Special Prosecutor is having none of.
The former finance Minister according to hospital records has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is due for surgery.
Although he requested a virtual meeting, the Special Prosecutor is seeking his physical presence.
The Interpol red alert indicates that he used public office for profit and is wanted by Ghana.
