Kidi joins calls on gov’t to end illegal mining

Musician, Kidi has added his voice to the calls for galamsey to stop.

He acknowledges that he does not have an idea of the politics and technicalities.

However, he is in the known that illegal mining is destroying water bodies in the country, and the sooner things are done to change the situation, the better for the country.

Kidi made this known on Accra-based Asempa FM while speaking.

“We are concerned about galamsey. I don’t know the technicalities and the politics behind what is supposed to be done,” he said.

Adding that “There are explanations but I don’t know all of that, all I know is that it is destroying water. I know people are not getting water to drink, so whatever;whoever needs to do what is supposed to be done needs to do it. It has been spoken about several times, but it seems to still be continuing and ruining lives. Whatever needs to be done needs to be done and done quickly”.
