Kintampo North MCE Graced The Coronation Of Kintampo Frafra Chief

Yesterday, 2nd August, 2025, the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive of Kintampo North, Mr. Isaac Donkor accompanied by some constituency executives honoured the coronation event of the Kintampo Frafra chief, Naba Aka’ ase Buri Sakimalgo I at the Kintampo Senior High School park.
In a brief speech, the Hon. MCE conveyed apologies from the Hon. MP to the Frafra community for his inability to be present in person, indicating that an equally important engagement took him away.
He commended the Frafra community for the show of unity of purpose in choosing a successor devoid of acrimonies after the demise of their chief.
He further commended Naba Aka’ ase Buri Sakimalgo I for his longstanding loyalty and contributions to the ideals and values of the great NDC. He added that, his coronation brings pride, not only to the Frafra community, but to the larger umbrella family as well, and his leadership offers assurance to all and sundry that the values of unity, inclusivity and social justice, core tenets of our party would be upheld and championed.
Hon. Donkor also expressed confidence Naba Sakimalgo I reign would open a new chapter of collaboration between traditional authorities and the local government for the needed development in the municipality.
Finally, he assured Naba Sakimalgo I and entire Frafra community of the Municipal Assembly readiness to working closely with them to promote peace, development, education, youth empowerment and cultural preservation in the municipality and beyond.
Accompanying the Hon. MCE were the constituency Secretary, Mr. Issah K, Treasurer, Mr. Emmanuel Nakoja, Women’s Organizer, Mad. Fati Musah, Youth Organizer, Hon. Sidawa Bomfeh, Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Mr. Nurudeen Mada (Kante), Deputy Secretary, Tapog Plasidious, Deputy Organizer, Mr. Fuseini Bomper, Deputy Communications Officer, Mr. Pascal Dapilla, an Executive member, Mr. John Dowana and some Branch Executives. Also, chairing the program was the Deputy Regional Organizer, Mr. Joenal Nang who was recently appointed as the Director of Research and Planning, NADMO Headquarters.
In another development, the Hon. MCE and team proceeded to the Kintampo VIP station to honour the Kintampo Fulani Chief, Ameer Modibo Sidi (Wa E Galo II) program.
Speaking at the event, the Hon. MCE praised Ameer Modibo Sidi for establishing a Mosque, Palace and Youth Parliament for Kintampoman, which should have been the responsibility of the assembly.
Additionally, he indicated due to the close association of the Fulani community with the great NDC, the Kintampo Fulani Youth Chief, comrade Musah is an appointee and an executive committee member of the newly constituted assembly under his able leadership.
More so, he indicated since assuming office, reports of immigration and acquisition of identity cards challenges faces by a number of fulanis are on his desk, and assured them at the appropriate time all these challenges would be resolved so that everyone can be issued a Ghana card . He added, that the Fulani Community has been factored into the assembly’s medium to long term development plans to ensure they benefit from government policies.

The Hon. MCE further seized the opportunity caution the youth against reckless riding in town to curb preventable accidents frequently witnessed in the municipality.
Lastly, he cautioned them against displaying weapons including guns and cutlasses in town as bylaws would soon be promulgated to criminalize such acts. Also, he cautioned against allowing cattle to destroy farm crops produce, which often leads to conflicts between Fulani herdsmen and farmers.
