Kodua Frimpong leads NPP General Secretary race – Poll

A new survey by Global Info Analytics suggests that Justin Kodua Frimpong, the incumbent General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), holds a commanding lead in his bid to secure another term.
Released on August 21, 2025, the poll shows Frimpong backed by 44 percent of delegates—placing him far ahead of his competitors.
Henry Kokofu follows distantly with 6 percent, Eugene Antwi with 4 percent, Sylvester Tetteh and Isaac Asiamah with 3 percent each, and Dr. Charles Dwamena with 2 percent. Another 2 percent of respondents expressed preference for other candidates.
Despite Frimpong’s advantage, the contest is far from settled. A significant 36 percent of delegates remain undecided, leaving room for shifts before the party’s internal elections.
The poll drew responses from 2,656 NPP delegates, of which 2,560 completed the full survey.
Covering 263 out of 276 constituencies, the study relied on random probability sampling and was conducted via Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI).
With a 99 percent confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.44 percent, the findings provide a strong snapshot of current delegate sentiment.
