Kofi Boat is not a scammer; it’s a business gone wrong—Shatta Wale defends

Dancehall Artist Shatta Wale has mounted a strong defence for his friend Kofi Boat, who is currently being investigated for fraud.
According to him, Kofi Boat is not involved in any form of scam, as the media reports suggest.
To him, Kofi Boat has become a subject of investigation because of a business gone bad.
In a livestream via TikTok, the Dancehall King hitmaker insisted that Kofi Boat has always been involved in legitimate businesses.
“Most of you don’t know who Kofi Boat is. As this problem come, people say he be scammer. Kofi Boat, you people call him a scammer, herh Kofi. Maa Joyce I make sorry, I feel bad, sake of Kofi I no dey fit sleep. You call Kofi Boat a scammer? Who tell you? Kofi, go sit computer in back and scam? It was just a business that went wrong,” he said in a rather broken language.
Adding that “it is the world and that is how the world is. If you don’t take care you’ll go and do one wrong business. That is why I am careful, that is why I don’t do friends. All my friends are in their corner and if we meet we will meet out. I don’t want to get involved with people who will want to come and tell me what to do with my music, I know how to sell my music that is why I live a lavish life, it is music and you guys should pay attention”.
Meanwhile, the Interior Minister has issued a letter that seeks to provide warrant for the arrest of Kofi Boat who is said to be a leader of a criminal empire in Ghana.
He and his accomplices have allegedly stolen money from people in the United States of America through romance scams, among others, to the tune of over $100 million.
It is being reported that while in custody, Kofi Boat is mentioning names of some big political elites who are beneficiaries of his schemes.
