Kotoko confirm sacking of Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has confirmed that the club has parted ways with its first team coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum.
This will be the second time the coach parts ways with the Kumasi-based football club.
The decision to end the working relationship comes after a streak of bad games in recent times.
In a statement shared by the club, the coach was wished well in his future endeavors.
“Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has this afternoon parted company with Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum. This decision was reached following constructive discussions between both parties, with a shared understanding that it is in the best interest of the club at this time.
We thank Coach Ogum for his dedication and service to the club, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
We urge our supporters to remain calm and continue to support the club during this transition. Further updates will be communicated in due course.”
Prosper Narteh Ogum joined Kumasi Asante Kotoko after the Nana Yaw Amponsah administration was booted out.
The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II put together an interim management team, which has since been handling the affairs of the club.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko sit six points behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars with six matches to the end of the season.
