Kotoko not at war with Nsoatreman despite no communication since Pooley’s death – Sarfo Duku

Asante Kotoko have dismissed speculations of a rift with Nsoatreman FC following their recent encounter, insisting there is no ongoing tension between the two clubs.
Amid talks of a possible “cold war,” Kotoko’s Head of Public Relations, Sarfo Duku, clarified that the club harbors no ill feelings towards Nsoatreman despite recent events.
“We are not at war with Nsoatreman. We are one people, and we are all fighting for a just cause. The incident has happened, and we will ensure that justice is served. However, we remain a family and will work to prevent such occurrences in the future,” Duku stated.
He further revealed that Kotoko has yet to receive any official communication from Nsoatreman following the passing of Nana Pooley.
“There has been no official contact from Nsoatreman, and we are still waiting to hear from them,” he added.
The Porcupine Warriors have remained inactive in competitive football since the tragic loss of their esteemed figure. However, with the final funeral rites scheduled for March 6, the team is expected to resume action on March 8.
Kotoko remain focused on their Ghana Premier League title ambitions, with head coach Prosper Ogum urging the players to honor Pooley’s memory by pushing for success.
Meanwhile, Ghana Premier League clubs returned to action over the weekend in the MTN FA Cup, marking their first set of competitive fixtures since Pooley’s passing.
