Former President John Agyekum Kufuor was a guest on The Delay Show, where host Deloris Frimpong Manso, known for her bold, unfiltered interview style, asked him whether he planned to remarry after the passing of his wife, Theresa Kufuor, who died on October 1, 2023.
Delay posed the question directly, “Will you consider marrying again?”
Kufuor responded with humour, asking her, “Are you interested in becoming my wife?” The host burst into laughter as the former president playfully continued.
He went on to compliment Delay, saying, “You are a beautiful woman. If you want to fill the void my wife left, then propose formally so I can think about it.”
Speaking about life after his wife’s death, Kufuor noted that companionship matters at his age.
“At this stage, I need to sustain my momentum to keep surviving. When I’m surrounded by people, I’m good to keep going,” he explained.
Delay revisited the question later in the interview, asking again if he would consider marriage in the future.
Kufuor repeated his earlier stance, saying, “If you are interested in in filling the ‘vacancy’ or you are formally proposing, let me know.”
