Former General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agepong, will today, July 29, 2025, announce his intentions to contest for the flagbearer position in the New Patriotic Party.
The announcement, which is scheduled for noon, will be made at his campaign office in Accra
Ing Kwabena Agyepong has, in his interviews, insisted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) needs a paradigm shift in leadership.
He believes that the status quo must not be maintained if the party wants to win power.
The New Patriotic Party will today, July 29, 2025, open its nomination for persons interested in leading the political party to pick forms.
The party has decided to go to the polls on January 31, 2026, to elect its flagbearer, who the party believes will lead in helping to put the government on its toes.
The political party has disclosed that the early primaries is to help water down the current tension in the political party.
