Kwame Adinkra earns PhD in Visual Communication Design from KNUST

Media personality and broadcaster Kwame Adinkra has announced his graduation from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Visual Communication Design, describing the achievement as both humbling and historic.

In a message shared shortly after the ceremony, Adinkra expressed deep gratitude to the people who supported him throughout his academic journey.

“I am genuinely grateful to everyone who supported me through prayers, mentorship, encouragement, and financial support,” he said.

He noted that his accomplishment carries significance beyond his personal life, highlighting its impact on Ghana and the West African creative landscape.

“Following my graduation, I humbly came to appreciate that I am among the pioneers to earn a PhD in Visual Communication Design at KNUST in Ghana and across West Africa,” he revealed. According to him, the feat represents “a significant step for the creative and academic industry in our sub-region.”

Adinkra, who already holds a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and an MPhil in Communication Design, said earning a PhD marks a renewed sense of direction.

“With a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, an MPhil in Communication Design, and now a PhD in Visual Communication Design, I step forward with renewed purpose,” he stated.

He ended his message with appreciation to all who contributed to his academic journey.

“Thank you all for believing in the dream and walking this journey with me,” he wrote.
